John Heeg John Heeg who just a few months ago moved here with his son Henry Heeg, proprietor of the Clother Hotel, died at 1:00 o'clock Monday morning Aug, 29 at the ripe old age of 82 years and 14 days old after an illness of three weeks. John Heeg was born in Germany Sept. 15, 1987, he came to this country in 1889 and settled near Chicago where he lived for 29 years. From there he moved to Wisconsin where he resided for two years and the balance of his life was spent, prior to his short time in Platte Center, with his son Henry at Sidney, Nebr. He is the father of ten children all living. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 9:00 o'clock from the Catholic church, Father Laborius officiating and the remains laid to rest in the St. Patricks Cemetery.
