Bio
Daughter of Anton & Mary (Wotipka) Bruckner. Married to Loane Charles Thege on 1-25-1947 at Wahoo, NE. She and her husband owned and operated Thege Insurance Agency in Wahoo for more than 40 years. She was an active member of the Wahoo community. She was involved in the Red Hat Society, Hilltop Country Club, Wahoo Eagle's Club, Saunders County Historical Society, Wahoo Senior Citizen's Center, the Go Club, VFW Post #4502, American Legion Post #82 Auxiliary. Dorothy was a 50 year member of the Bridge Club and was recently awarded a T-shirt at Curves in Wahoo to commemorate her 500th workout. Dorothy cherished her many longtime friends. Preceded in death by her husband Loane "Chuck" Thege, son Clifton Thege, sister Sophye McKinney, and brother Adolph Brukner. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia and Dave Nicholson of Lincoln, Carolyn and Bob Fugerer of Lutz, FL, Connie and Pat McNair of Lincoln; brother Louis Brukner of Reseda, CA; sisters Mary Kocina of Rio Rancho, NM, Adeline Ludi of Wahoo; daughter-in-law Nancy Thege of Lincoln; sisters-in-law Donna (Merlin) Hall, Donna Thege, Kay Thege, all of Wahoo; special friend Roger Bowker of Seward; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
