Bio

Died at the residence of her son J.W.Price in Liberty Twp. Licking Co. Ohio. Mrs. Mary Price on Jan. 5, 1885 aged 86 yrs. 6 month and 16 days. She was born June 19,1798 in Pembrokeshire South Wales. her maiden name was Mary Pittsford. Her parents removed to this country when she was three yrs. old. landing in Philadelphia. They lived about fifteen yrs. in Chester Co. Pa.,when they removed to Ohio and settled into Welsh Hills in 1816. She united with the Welsh Hills Baptist church in 1819 and remained a loyal and faithful member until her death. She was married to Edward Price July 26th. 1825, and was the mother of two sons,Thomas D. & Josiah W. Price. Has eleven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren living. The funeral services were held at the Welsh Hills Baptist Church,attended by old time friends and neighbors,among whom she had lived and ministered to the sick and dying for more than fifty yrs. until the last of her generation passed away.her husband Edward Price died December 26,1878 and out of a family of seven,but two remain Elizabeth Jones age 80 and James Pittsford aged 72 yrs.
