Funeral Service Held for Father of County Agent The Marshall News Messenger (Marshall, Texas) Tue, Aug 8, 1944, page 2 Funeral services for B.A. Browning, 78, of Cumby were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Shady Grove community, where he was born and had lived all his life until about one year ago. Browning died Saturday morning at his home in Cumby after a lengthy illness. Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Corene Pitman of Alexendria, La., Mrs. Kate Logan of New Diana, and Mrs. M.F. Cross of Cumby; and six sons, Otis Browning of Levelland, B.M. Browning of Marshall, Ambrose Browning of Shady Grove, Cpl. Adelle Browning, somewhere in England, Paul Browning of Daingerfield, and Perry Browning of California.
