Bio

A Mason; on double marker with Naomi Barbee (1908-2006); married "May 25, 1927" T.G. (Garland) Barbee Funeral services for T.G. (Garland) Barbee, 81, were held Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Harrell Funeral Chapel. He died Dec. 2 in the Harris Methodist-Stephenville. Burial was in the Erath Garden of Memories under the direction of Harrell Funeral Home with Dr. Warren Evans officiating and the Rev. Oscar Hartsfield assisting. Born Aug. 22,1906 in Erath County, he was the son of Walter Barbee and Ludah Cooper. He married Naomi Toler on May 26,1927 in Stephenville. Mr. Barbee was retired from Exxon Co. and he worked as a Gauger. He retired in 1966 in Crane. He was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge number 889 in McLean. Survivors are his wife of Dublin; one daughter, Mrs. Joy Lackey of Stephenville; one grandson, Michael D. Lackey of Stephenville; one granddaughter, Sharon Calder of Stephenville; one great grandson, Michael E. Lackey of Stephenville. "Dublin Progress," 9 Dec 1987, p. 3
