IN LOVING MEMORY On July 8, 1925, the death angel called at the home of Earl Smith and claimed for its victim his beloved wife, Esther. It was such a shock to all her loved ones and to her many friends. While she had been sick for some three weeks, we could not believe she was so near gone until the summons came. Everything was done for her that willing hands could do, but it was His will to take her from us. Esther was such a sweet woman, always cheerful and happy and had a smile and good word for all alike. She had been married hardly three years. She was a faithful wife and mother and we know she will be missed by her husband, as well as all other relatives. We can never see her in this world again, but we can go to her in that home above. Little comfort can we give to those who loved her so dearly and those who loved best, but we can tell them of Him who is able to comfort and help those in need. I would say to her grief-stricken husband, parents, sisters, brothers and sweet little baby girl, don't grieve for Esther because shi is in that land of rest and happiness where all go who live a christian life as she did. She has paid the debt we all must soon pay. Just live such lives that when He calls you will be willing and ready to go and be with Esther. I can't and will not say that she is dead she is just away. The golden gates were open wide, a gentle voice said come and the angel from the other side welcomed our loved one home. "A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home That never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled The one His love had given, And though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in heaven." One Who Loved Her.
