Mr. Raymond Lee Addison, 70, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at the Ennis Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 11, 1934 in Gladewater, TX the son of Melton and Lottie Mauritzen Addison. He was reared in Gladewater where he attended school. In 1949 he moved to Ennis. On Sept. 16, 1967 he was married to Janie Zaidle Murphy of Ennis. After their marriage they lived in Ennis where he worked as a farmer for many years. He then was employed as a gravel truck driver for WIlhoite Trucking. He retired in 1996 as the plant operator for Gifford-Hill Sand & Gravel. Mrs. Addison preceded him in death on May 1, 2003. He was a member of the Garrett Church of Christ. He is survived by a son and his wife, Rex and Elizabeth Murphy of Ennis; 2 daughters, Patricia and her husband, Delbert Yelsma of Kemp and Joy Moore of Ennis; 3 brothers, Ben Addison of Wheatland, WY, Rupert Addison of Jeanerette, LA and John Addison of Grants Pass, OR; a sister, Pat Montgomery of North Richland Hills; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grand-children; and 2 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and devoted friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melton and Lottie Addison, a brother, Buster Addison, a sister, Lottie Williams, three sons, Jimmy, Tommy and Billy Murphy, a grandson, Rex Murphy, Jr, and a grand-daughter, Kerrie Murphy. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Myrtle Cemetery with Rev. S.G. Hancock officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
