Printed in the Times Post dated February 24 1972 Mr. Bonds, 81, is Buried at Macedonia William Carrol Bonds, age 81, of Route 1, Houston, died at 10:10 pm February 17 1972, at the Houston Hospital. Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm Sunday, February 20, from Houston Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Flenoy Clark officiating. Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Wade, Wayne Doss, Frank Sanders, Thomas Doss, Frank Doss and Jackie Brand. A retired farmer, Mr. Bonds had lived in Chickasaw County for approximately seven years. He was born in Mississippi, July 14 1890, the son of Sidney Bonds and Rodie Osborn Bonds. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jessie G Bonds, a son, Dick Bonds of Albuquerque, New Mexico, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Christine Sanders of Gunnison, Miss., Mrs. Annie Gene Doss, of Houston, and Mrs. Agnes Clark of Southaven; a stepson, Donny Franks of Mobile, Ala., and 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, John Bonds of Tuscumbia, ala., three sisters, Mrs. Eler Rhodes of Wind, Ark., Mrs. Elsie Curtis of Iuka, and Mrs. Susie Price of Kossuth.
