Married Cuma Bond 29th June 1920 Salt Lake LDS Temple Utah Children Jack B.(Jean)Goodwin William Albert Goodwin --------------------- GEORGE GOODWIN DIES FOLLOWING MAJOR SURGERY Funeral services for George Carlos Goodwin will be held at 2 p. m. this afternoon (Thursday) in the Milford LDS Chapel. Interment will be in the Milford City Cemetery. Mr. Goodwin died Monday in Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake following major surgery. He was born June 6, 1899, in Beaver, to George Albert and Mary Francis Williams Goodwin. On June 29, 1921, he married Cuma Bond , in the Salt Lake Temple. He attended the Beaver schools and the old Murdock Academy. He worked at various trades in Salt Lake and Southern Utah and in 1931 purchased a farm in South Milford Previously he had operated a farm in Reed, and the old Foutz Place, now the John Bailey farm. He retired this spring, but continued to live on his farm in South Milford., He was active in the LDS Church, serving as Sunday School superintendent, holding many positions in the bishopric, and also served in Milford as Sunday School member of the Council of Twelve, chairman of the Genealogy committee, counsellor in the MIA and as bishop of the Milford Ward until the ward was divided. He was then sustained as a member of the Beaver Stake High Counsil. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Jack Bond of Madison, Wis., and William Albert of Milford; also three grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Harlan Goodwin.
