Bio
Herbert was born in Virginia, the son of Charlie and Lizy "Mead" Dooley. He served in the US Army, from Oct 1942 to Nov. 1945 reach the rank of CPL. He received an in line of duty injury (closed compound fracture of his femur) from a gun shot. Herbert married Virginia Alice Ingle in 1953, and they had six daughters and an infant son that predeceased him. NOTE: different records have different names, H. H., Hubert and Herbert were found.
