Bio
Obituary: Mrs. Katie Blanche Oster, 77, of 44 Gleason Street, died Saturday at Sacred Heart Hospital where she was admitted February 3. She had been in failing health for several years. A native of Flintstone, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Catherine (Ash) Wilson. Her husband, Concer W. Oster, died in 1934. Mrs. Oster was a member of, the Mapleside Methodist Church, the WSCS of the Church, and the Flintstone Homemakers Club. Surviving are a son, Paul W. Oster, with whom she resides; a daughter, Mrs. Clayton M. Tyler, Beltsville; a brother, Bruce Wilson, Cumberland, and three grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Tuesday at 2 p.m. by Rev. William L. Piel, pastor of Mapleside Methodist Church, and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Flintstone.
