Bio
Mrs. Hattie A. Lekar, 91, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at the IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis. She was born July 6, 1912 in Ennis, the daughter of August and Frances Hubacek Harleman. She was reared in Ennis where she attended high school. On Oct. 19, 1929 she was married to Frank Lekar of Ennis. After their marriage they lived in Ennis where she was a sales clerk for K-Wolens for many years. Mr. Lekar preceded her in death on March 21, 1981. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, the Sokol, WFLA and the Ennis Sewing Circle. She is survived by a son, Frankie Lekar of Ennis; 2 daughters, Virginia Patak of Ennis and Dorothy Sweatman of Arlington; a sister, Marie Barlow of Dallas; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Otis Parham and two sisters, Helen Mease and Emma Gilloit. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the Keever Chapel with Henry Kleinert officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Cemetery
