Bio

Douglas F. Cox Sr., 83, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, surrounded by his family and friends. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Garden Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Doug was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, born on Feb. 16, 1926. He proudly served in the Marine Corps and was a World World II veteran. Doug retired from General Dynamics where he was in the Advanced Design Engineering Department with top security. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Joyce Cox; daughter, Linda Richardson; son, Doug Cox Jr. and wife, Kellee; grandchildren, Jeannette Tucker and husband, Joe, of Tyler, Elissa Williams and husband, Tim, of Hogansville, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Kane, Blake, Kyle, Kaylor and Kenton.
