Son of Thomas Franklin Skates and Miss Storey. He was a retired cabinet maker, 77 years old, widowed, and a resident of Austin, Texas for the past 17 years when he died. Informant was Mrs. Birdie Barnett; burial was March 23, 1958. Weed-Corley Funeral Home, Ltd. was in charge of arrangements. (Texas death certificate# 24801)
