A service will be held at 1 p.m., Oct. 13, at Donelson-Fir Lawn Memorial Center chapel, 1070 W. Main St., Hillsboro. Interment will follow at Fir Lawn Memorial Park. Viewing hours are 2-5 p.m., Oct. 12 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 13. Wilma Welsh was born May 18, 1933, in Artesia, N.M., to Willie and Vada Welsh. A resident of Hillsboro since World War II, she graduated from Banks High School. She was in the U.S. Marines and worked as a meat packer at Reser's in Beaverton for 28 years. She enjoyed gardening and time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Eddie Hammond; daughters, Cindy Busch, Mary Vanderzanden and Florence Akers; a brother, Robert Welsh; a sister, Opal Jones; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Remembrances: American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association. Arrangements: Donelson-Fir Lawn Memorial Center, 503-640-2277.
