Press, Olyn "Sonny" BLUE RIDGE — Olyn "Sonny" Press, 83, of Dallas died Oct. 7, 2009. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Blue Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Blue Ridge. Son of Clyde and Gertrude Wallace Press, he was born March 31, 1926, in Blue Ridge. On Jan. 11, 1947, he married Mary Van Bevers in Dallas. Mr. Press served in the Marines. He worked as a mechanic and was a Baptist. Surviving are two sons, Bob Press and Ronnie Press and wife Laura Glasser, all of Burleson; a sister, Jeanette Bunch of Blue Ridge; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Mr. Press was born on March 31, 1926 in Blue Ridge, son of Clyde and Gertrude Wallace Press. He married Mary Van Bevers on Jan. 11, 1947 in Dallas. He was a U.S. Marine and a Baptist. Mr. Press is survived by his sons, Bob Press of Burleson and Ronnie Press and wife, Laura Glasser of Burleson; sister, Jeanette Bunch of Blue Ridge; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
