IUKA - Mildred "Mickie" Ann Osborn Aday, 58, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a courageous battle against leukemia. She was a registered nurse and an avid genealogist. She graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College's School of Nursing in 1992 and fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She was a charter member of the Tishomingo County Historical and Genealogical Society and served as the newsletter editor. She was currently serving as the secretary of the Iuka Surname Club. She was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Burnsville to the late Millard Russell and Mary Lee Hubbard Osborn. She married Robert Aday on July 12, 1965, and they have been lifelong Tishomingo County residents. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, and was a blessing to all those who knew her and loved her. Services were Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen. Bro. Seth Kirkland and Bro. Billy Paul Feltman will officiate. Burial was in Carpenter Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Robert Aday of Iuka; two sons, Rodney Aday (Kenlynn) and Ritchie Aday (Gayle), both of Iuka; two daughters, Michelle Osborn (Stephen) of Burnsville and Monica Ashcraft (Wayne) of Tishomingo; one brother, Jerry Osborn of Collierville, Tenn.; two sisters, Sylvia Honeycutt (Jimmy) of Adamsville, Tenn., and Doris Lambert (Petey) of Burnsville; five grandchildren, Billy Russell Osborn, Daniel Aday, Chelsea Osborn, Dillon Aday and Riley Aday; seven stepgrandchildren, Misty Osborn, Jacob Osborn, Anna Osborn, Eric Ferguson, Emily Ferguson, Ethan Frye and Evan Patton; one great-granddaughter, Aden Dean; two uncles, Billy Hubbard and Edward Hubbard, both of Iuka; a very special friend, Donnie Bobo; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Mickie was preceded in death by a sister, Glinda Aguirre; as well as her grandparents, George and Fannie Flanagan Hubbard, and Jonathan and Minnie Barnes Osborn. Pallbearers were her nephews.
