Death certificate states that he died on Feb. 3, 1925. Whether this is a mistake or whether they put his burial date on stone is unknown. In addition, the death certificate states that he died at Logans Store, Rutherford County, North Carolina. He was married to Phoebe Caroline Buchanan 13 Sept 1874 in Mitchell County, North Carolina. William and Caroline were the parents of five sons and four daughters.
