Born to William Marcellius Eddy & Frances Victoria "Fannie" Palmer Eddy. Oran married Caroline Elizabeth Myers (1902-1997) on July 6, 1923, in Boise City, OK. Children: • Mary Frances Eddy (1924-1924) • Oran Terryl Eddy, Jr. (1925-1957) • Lora Lou Eddy Herman (1927-2014) • William Myers Eddy (1931-2016) ******************************* From the Fort Scott (Kan.) Tribune, Aug. 25, 1975: Oran Terryl Eddy, 78, a retired farmer of Mound City, died at 2:15 a.m. this morning at the Sugar Valley Nursing Home, Mound City. Mr. Eddy was born Jan. 11, 1897, at Kenton, Okla., the son of W.M. and Fannie Palmer Eddy. He was a veteran of World War I and married Caroline Myers on July 6, 1923, at Boise City, Okla., moving to Mound City in 1936. Surviving are his wife of the home; one daughter, Mrs. John (Lora Lou) Herman of Centerville; one son, William M. Eddy of San Diego, Calif., one brother, Robert D. Eddy of La Jolla, Calif., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Eddy was a member of the First Baptist Church at Mound City and the Hewitt-New Post No. 248 at Mound City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fairchild Chapel in Mound City with Rev. Veldon Patten officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery with military rites, conducted by Hewitt-New Post No. 248. The family suggests contributions to the memorial at the First Baptist Church in Mound City.
