BURLESON - Edgar B. Lassiter, 90, a railway clerk for T&P Railway who retired in 1970, died Tuesday at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Burleson. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight. Edgar B. Lassiter was born Oct. 12, 1905, in Princeton. He was a resident of Burleson for over three years and formerly lived in Fort Worth. He was with Texas and Pacific Railroad for over 25 years and was a school crossing guard in Fort Worth for 20 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Burleson and a member of Gambrell Street Baptist Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed reading his Bible and doing crossword puzzles. He was devoted to his family. Survivors: Wife, Virgie Lassiter of Burleson; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Robert Lusk of Burleson and Molly and Bob Haller of Kingman, Ariz.; brother, Jim Lassiter of Bryan; sister, Mary Stieve of Santa Ana, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
