Bio

Elwanda Frasier "Nanny", passed away on October 2, 2009, in Austin Texas. She was born January 1, 1922, to Andy and Maggie Hall of Smithwick, Texas. She later moved to Marble Falls where she would later meet and marry her high school sweetheart, John Frasier. As a 37 year resident to Austin she established a successful career as a Cosmetologist and also working in the banking industry. Elwanda treasured being a wife and mother and was happiest being with her family. She could do anything she set out to do, and did it very well; especially around the house and garden. She took great care and achieved her own private Garden of Eden. She also loved and cherished her dogs; Sheree, Layce and cat, Flashy. Elwanda is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, John Frasier. Her granddaughter, Holli Frasier, and great-granddaughter, Bliss Payne, as well as five brothers. She is survived by; her brother AF and wife Rosie Hall, sister in law; Lillian Wall, daughter Laraine and husband Vernon Montgomery. Son, Rex Frasier, five grandchildren, Leah and husband Jon Payne, Lorri Frasier, Lance Montgomery and wife Rachael, Tammi and husband Calvin Cole, and Jenni Frasier. Three great grandchildren; Dakota Payne , Cal and Austin Cole. In addition she will be missed by countless other family members and friends from her Church of Christ. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, October 4, 2009, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m., with Tex Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park . In lieu of flowers; donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
