Interment (Cremated remains): 28 Jul 1995 Buna Ellen Arnold was born to Joe Douglas and Laura Matilda (Reese) Arnold. She was born into a family with one older sister, Opal Hattie (Arnold) Roberson (1905-1973) and an older brother, Levi Albert Arnold (1908-1995). Her father was a farmer, a life-long career for him, and her mother a housewife. In 1913, Buna's parents were blessed with another son, W M Reese Arnold (1913-1991) and five years later with another daughter, Cleo Myree (Arnold) Hopkins (1918-2006). From around 1920 to just a few years before 1930, Buna and her parents lived in Oklahoma. On 5 Nov 1927 at the age of 16, Buna married Amos Wesley Medlin in Amarillo, Texas. About a year later, Amos and Buna had their first son, Amos Paul Medlin (1928-1944). There later was a miscarriage caused by a fall, but in 1930 they added their second son, Arnold Wayne Medlin (1930-1985). Buna was a devoted housewife, meticulous about cleanliness and a wonderful cook. When her son, Amos Paul, died on Christmas Eve in 1944, she drew even closer to her only child remaining. They were very close all of her life and there weren't very many weekends that they did not share a meal together. She loved her grandchildren, and later her great grandchildren, devoting much of her time to their attention, and encouraged them to attend church (she was a Baptist). She and Amos were married for almost 57 years before his passing. She lived long enough to lose her second son in 1985, and moved to Arizona to live with her granddaughter till she passed away.
