Bio

Wanda Drake, 81, of Bellmead, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at a local hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Thomas Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home. Wanda Virginia was born in McKinney, Texas, to the late Artemus and Lula Mae (Pruett) Redden. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of The Redeemed, active in the Church, and was a loving caring mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Lee Campbell on March 18, 1986; and Calvin Drake in October of 2003; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Lowery and her husband, George, of Florida, and Karen Lynn Svoboda, of Bellmead; sons, Neil Campbell and his wife, Theresa, of Ross, Richard K. Campbell and his wife, Sylvia, of Bynum, and Randall S. Campbell, of Wichita Falls; stepsons, Glen Drake and his wife, Margaret, of Meridian and Neil Drake and his wife, Lou, of Big Sandy; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
