Anna Floriene Summerall ATHENS — Services for Anna Floriene Summerall, 85, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Bishop officiating.Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.Mrs. Summerall died Sept. 22, 2009, in Athens.She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Emhouse, to David Oscar and Ona Mae Allen Richards. She moved to Athens in 1959. Mrs. Summerall was a wonderful mother who loved to crochet and sew. She enjoyed cooking and teaching others to cook. She loved doting over her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and extended family.She was preceded in death by husband, J. F. "Pinky" Summerall on March 24, 1998; first husband, William Long, Sr., World War II Purple Heart recipient; and son William L. Long, Jr.Survivors include son, Fred D. and Brenda Summerall, of Athens; daughter, Sheila A. Hall, of Athens; grandchildren, Brian Summerall; Todd W. Long and wife Scarlet; Rachelle Turner; Nattie Horn; Jeffrey F. Long; Tammy Snowden; Rhonda Long; Aleshia Lansdale; Laura Wiggins and husband Tony; Rickey L. Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; sister, Josephine Lee, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers are Jim Kirkland, Jeffrey Long, Derrell Snowden, Dan Summerall, Todd Long and Ricky Smith.Honorary pallbearers are Elmo Collard, Dr. Douglas W. Curran and Rev.
