From the Wolbach Messenger, February 2, 1967, transcribed by Linda Berney: Mrs. Nora Fenton Buried Wednesday Mrs. Nora M. Fenton, 76, a longtime resident of the Brayton community died Sunday in a Spalding hospital. She had entered the hospital six weeks ago. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Visitation at OConnor. Her son, the Rev. Lawrence Fenton, offered the solemn requiem high mass. Burial was in the family plot of the Church Cemetery at OConnor. Mrs. Fenton was born October 19, 1890 at Arina in Garfield County, a daughter of James and Delia McCoy. When she was 14 the family moved to Greeley County north of OConnor. She attended St. Josephs Academy at OConnor. She was married to Timothy P. Fenton on June 2, 1908 at OConnor. Their first home was on a farm near OConnor. They later lived in Oklahoma and in Kansas before returning to Greeley County to a farm near Brayton, where they lived for 42 years before they retired and moved to their home in Greeley in 1961. Survivors include four sons, James and Lawrence Fenton of Greeley, Joseph of ONeill and Francis of Wolbach; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Peterson of Spalding, Mrs. Margaret Joyce of Greeley, Mrs. Rita McSharry of Omaha, Mrs. Madeline Thomas of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Theresa Welch of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Florence Moran of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Dugan of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Ann Gray of Grand Island and Mrs. Catherine Preston of Denver, Colorado.
