Printed in The Davis News on May 24, 1928; Reprinted with permission "Uncle Nott" Tracy Died Last Night N. F. Tracy died last night at the Confederate Home at Ardmore, following a brief illness. The body was brought to Davis for burial. Funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. J. Chapman, this afternoon at 4 o'clock, and will be followed by interment in Green Hill cemetery. Mr. Tracy, whom everybody called "Uncle Nott," was born in Tennessee 89 years ago. He served with a Tennessee regiment in the Southern Confederacy and was in many of the big battles, but was fortunate enough to escape injury. He came to Indian Territory 45 to 50 years ago, and was one of the real pioneers to this country. For 30 years or more he was a prominent figure on the streets of Davis, and he always had a cheerful word and ready smile for everybody. He entered the old soldiers' home a few years ago where he remained until his death. He was married twice, and is survived by four daughters and two sons, viz: Mrs. Jno. Bryant, Mrs. Lula Robnett, Mrs. Ada Chapman, Mrs. Lindsay Tracy, and Mark and Lon Tracy.
