Josephine Ellen Moses Amarillo Josephine Ellen "Jo Ellen" Moses, 57, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Paramount Baptist Church with Dr. Gil Lain, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Moses was born in Houston and had lived in the Amarillo and Canyon area for more than 31 years. She retired in July after 19 years as the teacher resource center coordinator for the Region XVI Education Service Center. She was active with the Amarillo Little Theatre, also performing in many productions. She also was a member and active participant of High Plains Storytelling Association and the Tejas Storytelling Association and a member of the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association. She married Jesse Moses in 1965 at Lordsburg, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol Nolan of Glendale, Calif.; a son, Jeff Moses of Amarillo; her mother, Mary Jane O'Nan of El Reno, Okla.; a brother, Ernest Morrison of Montgomery; a stepsister, Juanita Tarver of El Reno; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, P.O. Box 31180, Amarillo, TX 79120; or the building fund at Paramount Baptist Church, 3801 S. Western St., Amarillo, TX 79109. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 29, 2000
