ELMER W RUBY, SR FLINTSTONE ‹ Elmer W. Ruby Sr., 88, of Flintstone, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Memorial Hospital Emergency. Born on July 20, 1912, in Beans Cove, Pa., he was the son of the late Russell and Blanche (Fetters) Ruby. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Marie Ruby on Feb. 22, 1998; two daughters, Sandra K. Ruby and Debbie A. Ruby; two brothers; and two sisters. Mr. Ruby was a home improvement contractor. He was Assembly of God by faith. Surviving are four sons, Jerry L. Ruby and wife Carol, Flintstone, James Ruby, Chaneysville, Pa., Elmer W. "Junior" Ruby and Robert L. Ruby, both of Flintstone; one daughter, Sherry A. Ruby, Flintstone; four grandchildren, Chad, Angie and husband Terry, Paula and husband Dave, Clinton and wife Dawn; one sister, Ada Weith, Everett, Pa.; one brother, Ralph Ruby, Bedford, Pa.; and several great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Flintstone, on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
