Son of William Austin and Elizabeth Stevenson Married Agnes Nicol, 1 Jan 1822, Hammond, St. Lawrence, New York Married Olive Lee, 1 Jan 1828, Young, Ontario, Canada Married Isabella Nicol, 15 Jun 1846. She died 27 Sep 1852, Near Echo Canyon, Summit, Utah (enroute to Salt Lake City). Married Agnes McIntier, 15 Jul 1853, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Children - William McIntyre Austin, Maurice Austin, Robert Austin, Agnes Elizabeth Austin, Isabel Catherine Austin, Jennett Amelia Austin, Mary Stevenson Austin, Violet Nicol Austin History - Helped lay top cornerstone of the Nauvoo Temple. 3 Aug 1844 - The new crane was put into operation. This crane was used to raise the stone for the greater portion of the upper north wall. Joshua Armstrong, with his assistant Charles R. Dana, was the principal mason who worked from this crane.
