Bio
Mr. Dorsey R. Lynch, 76, of 815 West St. Louis Ave., Pinckneyville, passed away at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital on Dec. 24, 1978. He was born in DuQuoin, Illinois on Oct. 7, 1902, a son of the late John T. and Scerinda M. (Brown) Lynch. In Pinckneyville on March 11, 1930, he was married to the former Laura Scholebo, who survives. In addition to his widow, he is survoved by nine sons, William Lynch of Granite City, Dorsey and Jim Lynch both of Petersburg, Michigan, Don and Mike Lynch both of Brighton, Michigan, John, Jerry, Jack and Tim Lynch all of Pinckneyville, a daughter, Mrs. Sam (Shirley) Loyd of Pinckneyville, 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Lynch in death were his parents, four brothers, three sisters and 2 sons. He was a memeber of Holt's Prairie Baptist Church and a retired tool and die maker. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 27, 1978 at 2 p.m. from the Holt's Prairie Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Boling officiating. Interment was in Holt's Prairie Cemetery. Prob.
