Bio

Service for Maurice A. Hanys, 85, of Cuero will be conducted at Freund Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. Friday. The Rev. H. A. Hanson pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Yoakum. Mr. Hanys died in a Shiner Nursing Home Tuesday. He operated a gin and feed store in Cuero a number of years with a son. Mr. Hanys was born in Czechoslovakia March 26, 1882, son of Maurice A. and Annie Strouhal Hanys Sr. He was married to Molly Kunetka in Yoakum Dec. 26, 1916. Survivors are the wife; a son, Jerry M. Hanys, and a grandchild, all of Cuero
