Florence E. Jarecke, age 71, of Columbus died Thursday, March 9, 2006 in Columbus, Nebraska. Born May 13, 1934 in Polk County, Nebraska to John and Caroline (Stavas) Kresha. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1951. She then attended William Penn College near Central City. On June 16, 1956 she was united in marriage to Jerome Jarecke in Polk County. Florence taught school for 6 years and then worked in the County Assessors office at the Platte County Court House for 20 years. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, St. Bonaventure Guild, Catholic Daughters of America, Scotus Mothers, Columbus Community Hospital Auxiliary and a Red Cross Volunteer.
