Bio

The husband of a former Caruthersville resident has died in Pasadena, Tex. Dead is Clyde W. (Speck) Essary, husband of Anita Webb Essary. The retired insurance agent was 68 when he died May 24, 1980. Mr. Essary was born in Holcomb Dec. 27, 1911. He and Mrs. Essary were married in Caruthersville in 1942, during the war of which he was a veteran. Mr. Essary is survived by his wife, a daughter, Jane Essary Cox of Longview, Tex.; a sister, Vestal of Caruthersville; two grandchildren, and a nephew. Services were held at the Dean Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Currie officiating. Interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery with Kirby VanAusdall, Jackie Johnson, Carl Malin, Jack Tipton, Lonzo Kirsey, and Charles Albert Faris as pallbearers.
