IUKA - Mildred T. "Sis" Johnson, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at the Iuka Hospital. She was a former beautician in Iuka and a retired nursing assistant at the Tishomingo County Hospital. During World War II she was a riveter at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula and an employee of a munitions plant in Tennessee. She was a member of Rocky Springs United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful caregiver to many family members. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with the Rev. Tommy Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Hubbard Salem Cemetery. Survivors include 10 first cousins, William Howard Osborn of Boaz, Ala., Clifton Earl Osborn of Gadsden, Ala., Hilda Randolph of Columbia, Tenn., Flora Nell Holmes of Detroit, Mich., Billie Hoffman, Ilene Dodds, Jewel Harber and Arvid Smith, all of Booneville, Billy Johnson of Iuka and Minnie Mae Fisher of Dumas; three special friends, Verlene Hodge and Florene "Sis" Johnson, both of Iuka, and Christy Thomas of Baldwyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Kate Johnson, and a brother, Edward Johnson.
