Daughter of Joseph & Anna (Marfica) Ambrose. Was baptized as an infant at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul; attended School District 79 until seventh grade when the family moved into St. Paul, graduated from St. Paul High School in 1945. Was first employed at R. Crawford's dental office. Married: April 28, 1947, to Donald Lacy in Phillipsburg, Kan. He died in 2002. Lived in Cozad, where husband was employed with Safeway Stores; moved to Phillips in 1952, owned owned a tavern; later moved to Kearney, Hastings, Minden and back to Kearney, worked for R. Hamilton's dental office; later worked for 14 years for Richard Bush's dental office. Activities: in Kearney was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Does group of the Elks Club; during retirement, spent the winters in Texas; moved back to St. Paul in 1997, and recently moved to Osceola to be close to family; enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities and did extensive traveling, enjoying going places with her sister Irene; also liked to play cards and read; member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul and of the Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit 119 of St. Paul. Survivors include her sons, Richard Lacy and his wife, Bonnie, of Osceola and Douglas Lacy and his wife, Ellen, of Axtell; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Archie Ambrose and his wife, Betty, of St. Libory; and sisters, Irene Meyer of St. Libory and Joan Ziegler and her husband, Leroy, of Colby, Kan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Roger in 1947; brother, Donald Ambrose; and stepfather, Louie Sintek.
