Bio

Lonny Joe Post, of St. George, died Jun 27, 2002, at a Holton hospital from injuries he suffered in an automobile accident near Holton. Mr. Post was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was born Dec 18, 1945, in Wamego, the son of Clifford and Thelma Klein Post. He attended Wamego schools. Mr. Post was a member of the First Baptist Church at Whiting and Post No. 17 of the American Legion. He married Carol Sowell in Mar 1965. They were divorced. He married Geri Higby on Apr 29, 1972. They also were divorced. Survivors include a son, two daughters, three stepsons, two brothers, two sisters, eight grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren. Services were held at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
