Suggested edit: Anna Manofsky (Morkovsky) married Frank Kainer (Keniner) in Weis Kirchen (translated Weis Churches), Moravia on October 20, 1870 in Hungary. They applied for passports to Texas one month after they married. They embarked from Bremen one month and one day after they married. They arrived at Galveston 22 days later. They purchased a yoke and a wagon and 2 oxen. They settled in High Hill, Fayette County with her relatives in 1871. She had 6 kids. Anna is also the oldest of 6 kids herself, but she didn't not emigrate at the same time as her parents and siblings. Her father, Josef Manowfsky, and mother, Veronika, and their younger 5 children immigrated to America, arriving in Galveston, Texas, on May 13, 1867 (www.galvestonhistory.org). Anna was born in Moravia (Neideck, Bohl, Austria) on May 25, 1841 and died July 26, 1938 in Pct. 7, Fayette County. Her husband, Frank, was born July 9, 1833 and died October 7, 1938, at 105 years old. His death certificate says he was born in Bohemia (Okrinsdorf, Austria). His home was considered Holman in Fayette County. His obituary can be found in the Weimar Mercury newspaper on August 5, 1938. Contributor: GailK (47579379) •
