Daughter of George and Cora Brown Bray. Note: middle name "Tempy" added to this memorial on February 9, 2016 per edit request. Married to Clarence C Dana in 1912. Daughters Lucille Fern Dana and Edith Mae Dana. ------- Fairfield Ledger Wednesday Sept. 17, 1975 Rites for Mrs. DANA Mrs. Sylvia T. DANA, 84, 408 N. Main St., died at 12:30 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient since last Saturday. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mrs. DANA was born Jan. 27, 1891 in Jefferson County, the daughter of George and Cora Brown Bray. She was married to Clarence C. DANA Sept. 24, 1912 near Veo. They moved from their farm near Pleasant Plain to Fairfield in 1965. Mrs. DANA was preceded in death by her husband Feb. 12, 1971. One daughter, one brother and one sister are also deceased. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Busy Bee Club. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Edith Mae MILLARD, Ottumwa; two grandsons, two great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Vera INGHAM, Selma, Calif.
