Cooper Review-January 3, 1980- Mrs. Ruby Lucille Howse, 66, passed away at 1:45 AM Wednesday, December 19,1979 at St.Joseph's Hospital in Paris. Funeral services were held at 2PM Thursday, December 20, 1979, at the First Baptist Church in Cooper with the Rev. Cecil Cole of Greenville and Rev. Richard Tatum officiating. Internment was made in the New Klondike Cemetery, under the direction of the Delta Funeral Home. Mrs. Howse, a resident of Cooper all her life, was born in Delta County, January 15, 1913. She was the daughter of James W. and Mary Mamie (Toon) Maynard. June 18, 1928, she married Rufus W. Howse. Her survivors include her husband, Rufus Howse of Cooper; one son, George Howse of Klondike; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Shaw of Commerce and Mrs. A.G. Terry of Greenville; three brothers, Joe Bill Maynard of Cooper, Randall Maynard of Garland and Rudolph Maynard of Pittsburgh; one sister, Mrs. Imogene Boles of Cooper; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son James Howse, preceded her in death, July 20, 1972. Grandsons serving as pallbearers were Mike Howse, Danny Howse, David Howse, Kenny Shaw, Kevin Terry and Gene Brothers.
