Bio

QUANAH - Ravia Stephenson, 93, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Lloyd Stice, minister of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Stephenson was born Sept. 14, 1915, in Kings High to the late George Robert and Mary Dana Hammer Cadie. She married Kenneth Doyle Stephen on April 10, 1932, in Altus, Okla. Survivors include a daughter, Michael Taylor of Los Lunas, N.M.; a grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 397, Quanah, TX 79252. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 1, 2009
