Louie A. Monk, Jr. Dec, 22, 1926-May 26, 1999 Mr. Louie A. Monk, Jr., age 72, of Salado, Texas passed away May 26, 1999 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. He was born Dec. 22, 1926 in Colorado City, Texas to Floy and Louie A. Monk, Sr. His family moved to Dallas when he was an infant, where he lived most of his life. Mr. Monk was preceded in death by his first wife, Maydale. He is survived by his wife, Billie Joyce Monk; daughter, Lou Aaron Walter; sons, Jack L. Monk and Homer Paul Monk and daughter, Elizabeth Overton; step-daughter, Dorothy Sansom; step sons, Jay, John and Joe Rogers; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and eight step- grandchildren and two brothers, Bob and Charles Monk. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 1999, in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home with the Rev. Skip Blancett officiating. Interment will follow in the Auburn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Aaron and Phillip Monk, Greg and Casey Walter, Rich Vickers and Matt Rogers. Arrangements are under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
