From Moberly Monitor-Index and Democrat, Saturday, 10-28-1944, pg. 3, Ancestry.com KELLY MCCUNE OF CLARK DIES CLARK, Mo., Oct. 28---Funeral services were held today for Kelly McCune at the Clark Christian Church. Mr. McCune died at 12:30 Friday after an illness of about a year. He had been bedfast the past three weeks. He was born in 1876 on the old McCune farm, 1 1/2 miles west of Clark, and had lived in that vicinity all his life except for two years he spent in New Mexico. His wife died the early part of 1944. He is survived by a son, Joe A. McCune, and two grandsons, all of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Sallie Riggs of Lawson, Mo., Mrs. Carrie Hisle of Illinois, Susie Johnson of Denver and Mrs. Pearl Cassidy of Purden, Mo., and one brother, Wilbur, who lives on adjoining farm. Mrs. Cassidy came Friday morning, but the other sisters are too feeble to attend the funeral. Contributor: Tom Waters (47839291) •
