JOHN SAMUEL DAMUTH, JR. was called to his heavenly home on Thursday August 27, 2009 surrounded by his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 66 years, Mary Ellen Damuth, Sons John Damuth, III, Larry and wife Carey Damuth, Daughter Patricia and Son-in-law Marvin Shelton. Grandsons Jeremy Damuth, Richard Langley, Colt Damuth, Granddaughters Melissa Damron, Summer Damuth, Angela Trevino and husband Edward Trevino, Great Granddaughters Malinda Damron and Ellie Damuth, Great Grandsons William Damron and Raziel Trevino. He is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. He was born January 12, 1918, outside of Magnolia, Texas at home on the prairie to John Samuel Damuth, Sr. and Clarkie Belle Damuth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with Reverend David Lay officiating. The burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Mostyn-Damuth family cemetery on the prairie near Magnolia, Texas, with Reverend Don Wilkie officiating.
