Genseke, Sarah Evelyn Fleming Was born in Ovilla, TX on Dec. 23, 1920. She died in Irving, TX on Aug. 24, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Clarence Genseke. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Kay and Don Rhoads and Bob and Carole Bogart; grandchildren, Jordan Bogart, Shelby Bogart, Heather and Sean Cawthon, Leah and Dan Cheek, Joshua Ellis, and David Rhoads; nine great-grandchildren; and special friend Erika Pence. Many thanks to her caregivres Gwen Resser and Rolaundia Anene. She was a long-time resident of Dallas where she attended Forest Ave. High School and graduated from SMU. She taught elementary grades in the Dallas Public Schools until her retirement. She was a memeber of Wesley Methodist Church (later Elmwood United Methodist) for over 65 years. She will be best remembered for her devotion to her family, for her quick wit, for helping others, and for her ability to never forget a face or name. Services will be at Jeter & Son Funeral Home on Sat., Aug. 29 at 11 AM followed by burial at Oak Grove Memorial Garden at 1413 E. Irving Blvd. in Irving. Visitation will be Fri. Aug. 28 from 5 - 7 PM at Jeter & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elmwood United Methodist Church, 1315 Berkley Ave, Dallas, TX 75221. The Dallas Morning News 8/28/2009
