Father: Drury Vinson Womack Mother: Rebecca Balch Rebecca was first married to William V. Childress on 14 Oct 1852 in Jackson County, Alabama. They were the parents of Margaret Ann Childress who married Samuel J. Rodes. Rebecca then married W. J. Moon. Rebecca & W. J. were the parents of: Catherine Isabelle [Belle] Moon and William Judson Moon. Rebecca's third marriage was to Azariah Cobb on 17 May 1865 in Jackson County, Alabama. Oscar Dixon Cobb was born to them on 15 March 1867 in Jackson County, Alabama. In 1869, they started their move to Texas. They probably went west on the Tennessee River until they reached the Mississippi. Here they probably were visiting Rebecca's brother's family when Azariah died. Although Rebecca was pregnant, they continued on to Texas, coming down the Mississippi River, then up the Red River across Louisiana and into Texas at Jefferson. Rebecca gave birth to Pauline Cobb 1869-70 in Texas. The family continued on to Cass County where they are found on the 1880 census.
