Pearl Estella Williams was born in Howard county Iowa, January 20, 1871, and died at the Adams hospital in Hibbing, Minn., October 17, 1918, age 47 years, 8 months and 27 days. She was married to Wm A. Shoars August 30, 1885. To this union five children were born, four of whom are living, Archie dying in infancy. They are Joseph W. of St. Paul, Mrs. E. L. Grady of Hibbing, Mrs. George Menzghar of Ashland, Wis., and Charles E., now in France. She also leaves seven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. O. L. Davis of Park Rapids and one brother, Wallace Williams of Fraser, Idaho, also a half sister and brother and other relatives. She moved to northern Minnesota in 1888 where she has lived most of the time since. For the past eight years she lived at Bemidji. She was nursing at Adams hospital at Hibbing when she was stricken with the influenza. She was a member of the Episcopal church at Cass Lake. The remains were brought to Park Rapids and laid to rest in the Greenwood cemetery beside her husband. The Enterprise October 24, 1918
