REST IN PEACE.. Howard J. Kimbrough, 90, of Russellville passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Burns Nursing Home. Mr. Kimbrough lived all his life in Franklin County and was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church. He was a life insurance salesman for several years and married to Gladys Bartlett Kimbrough for 66 years. Funeral service will be Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with the Rev. Phil Kimbrough officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Colbert County. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Survivors include sons Benny (Sue) Kimbrough of Moulton and the Rev. Kenneth (Sandra) Kimbrough of Phil Campbell; daughters Doris Prince of Russellville and Judy (Troy) Pounders of Moulton; daughter-in-law Doris Kimbrough of Russellville; sister-in-law Dorothy Kimbrough of Decatur; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons and the Rev. Tim Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Bartlett Kimbrough; parents James and Corneller Kimbrough; son Edwin Kimbrough; son-in-law, Joe Prince; great-grandchild Keanan Pounders; and brothers and sisters Lonnie Kimbrough, Clifton Kimbrough, Luther Kimbrough, Tommie Kimbrough, Walter Kimbrough, Ollie Kimbrough, Paskel Kimbrough, Mattie Suggs and Lattee Fretwell.
