Viola Matson (40921041) Suggested edit: Columbus Telegram Saturday August7 , 1999 Viola Matson COLUMBUS Ñ Viola L. Matson, 88, 158 Heritage Road, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Columbus Manor. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home. Burial is at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Matson was born on Dec. 13, 1910, in Columbus to William and Mary (Zarek) Wozny. She received her education in Columbus. On June 30, 1941, she married Willard Matson in Wichita, Kan. Following her marriage, she lived in Texas until 1949. After she returned to Columbus, she worked at Becton-Dickinson for many years until her retirement. Survivors are one daughter, Joann (Loren) Johnson of Columbus; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and two sisters.
