Bio
Harry E. Borecky, 86, a lifetime resident of Pine Bluff passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born March 10, 1921 at Pine Bluff, he was the son of the late Charles and Willie Jay Roderick Borecky. He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School, also attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He joined the United States Navy and served on the Destroyer USS Wells during World War II. Mr. Borecky was the owner of Arkansas Brief Printing Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a Third Degree Mason in the Shriners. He was precede in death by his parents, one brother Charles Borecky and one sister, Frances Pearson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Audrey Ballard Borecky; two sons, Wayne Eugene Borecky and wife Patsy of Pine Bluff, and Larry Jay Borecky and wife Cissi of Bossier City , Louisiana; four grandchildren, Carrie Schwindt and husband Eric of Conway, Shayla Simmins and husband Jerry of Woodlawn, Martin Borecky of Conway, and Jay Borecky of Bossier City, Louisiana; and four great grandchildren Kyle and Austin Schwindt of Conway and Chandler and Regan Simmons of Woodlawn. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church. The family was assisted by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home.
