PERRYTON - Former Stinnett resident, Mrs. Bessie Marion Barrett, 91, of 2102 Vallejo, died at 8:25 a.m. Sunday in Perryton. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church in Stinnett with the Rev. Charles Harris, pastor, and Dr. David Darnell of the First Christian Church in Perryton officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A housewife, Mrs. Barrett was born in Denton County. She had been an area resident for 52 years, living in Perryton for the past four years. Mrs. Barrett was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stinnett. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elwin Larkey of Perryton and Mrs. Bessie Mae Griffin of Stinnett; one sister, Ruth Rector of Sanger; three brothers, John J. Dean of Little Rock, Ark., Marcus Dean of Sanger, Albert Dean of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her husband, A.S., and her son, Ralph. The family will be staying at 1100 Morse in Stinnett.
